Spinwell is recruiting for a Children’s Residential Registered Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL REGISTERED MANAGER      

• Have good regulatory knowledge with a practical understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and the Ofsted inspection framework
• Prioritise safeguarding children and young people and ensure positive outcomes through creative and innovative methods
• Can demonstrate a strength-based, individualised, and proactive leadership approach underpinned by collaboration and effective assessment and risk management
• Understand and foster an inclusive and positive team culture, providing support so that staff and children feel welcomed, valued and able to achieve their potential
• Can establish and build trust with staff, children and key stakeholders across residential services and care
• Have a strong focus on team performance and development using team supervision, career conversations and feedback to support staff and identify improvements

   

  SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL REGISTERED MANAGER  

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent and an ability to meet Ofsted regulatory requirements to become a Registered Manager
• In depth knowledge of delivering statutory childcare services and have had, at least 2 years' experience within children's residential care, within the last 5 years
• Proven leadership and managerial skills in a social care or health setting
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a range of individuals, built on trust in sometimes challenging situations
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work- no two days in our homes are ever the same!
