Spinwell is recruiting for a Microsoft 365 Support Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MICROSOFT 365 SUPPORT ENGINEER
- Monitoring, administering, and managing Microsoft 365 services
- Ensuring service availability, performance, and security
- Investigating and resolving any faults in M365 services
- Implementing preventative measures and providing advice on solutions
- Configuring collaboration features, permissions, and access controls
- Using PowerShell or other scripting languages to automate repetitive tasks for support
- Working with suppliers to bringing relevant and appropriate services and innovation in to improve system performance, security, and reliability.
- Creating and maintaining scripts for provisioning, user management, and reporting
- Performing administration, maintenance, and system tasks such as testing, and applying updates, patches, and feature releases to Microsoft 365 services
- Documenting configurations, procedures, and best practices
- Working with the relevant people and suppliers to ensure cyber security is as it should be throughout services
- Optimising licensing and subscription costs
- Mentoring and leading less experienced members of the team to develop skills
- Keeping up to date with new practices and innovation in technologies
- Plus, many more ad hoc technical, commercial and business activities required in support of the team’s work
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE MICROSOFT 365 SUPPORT ENGINEER
- Excellent team working ability
- High level of oral and written communications
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective time management and planning skills
- 3 years minimum recent experience as a M365 Engineer, at system administrator level or above on the following products:
- Administering Exchange in a hybrid Exchange environment
- Teams
- SharePoint on prem and online
- OneDrive
- Live within 1 hour of central London Monday to Friday
- Be prepared to be working on site (nearest Tube stations Westminster, Embankment and Charing Cross)
