Spinwell is recruiting for a Chef for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CHEF

• Overall responsibility for all aspects of Health and Safety.
• Lead on providing advice to senior management on the implications of current and emerging health, safety and welfare legislation, including evaluating options, making recommendations and generating action plans to ensure compliance across the department.
• Ownership for the development and implementation of the initial requirements for Health and Safety policies.
• Responsible for the effective communication and understanding of new Health and Safety policies.
• Supporting line managers in reaching complex or high risk decisions on a case-by case basis by providing expert Health and Safety advice.
• Use expertise to advise on a wide range of Health and Safety issues at all levels of the organisation.

  SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE CHEF

  • Minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene Safety
  • Level 2 Food Preparation or equivalent (City and Guilds, NVQ etc…)
  • Qualified Chef
  • Ideal background is the likes of a hospital, prison, school, care home.
  • Prepared to cover shifts including weekends as required
  • Essential can work as part of a Team.
  • Able to provide own PPE.
  • Having access to own transport highly beneficial
  • Public sector/defence background is nice to have but not essential.
