A leading, privately owned diversified group based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a versatile and dynamic Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer (COO/CFO) to join its executive leadership team.
With a broad portfolio across real estate, hospitality, insurance, aviation, and petrochemicals, the group requires an accomplished and forward-thinking leader to oversee operational excellence and financial performance, driving sustainable growth and enhancing shareholder value.
About the Role:
As CFO, you will act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and senior leadership team. You will be responsible for ensuring strong operational controls, optimised financial management, and robust administrative procedures to support ambitious growth plans across the UAE and beyond.
This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership — shaping corporate strategy, driving bottom-line results, improving operational efficiencies, and fostering a high-performance, accountable culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership aligned with the company’s vision, mission, and core values.
- Drive the achievement of sales, profitability, cash flow, and growth targets across all business units.
- Develop, monitor, and refine internal operational processes and KPIs for maximum effectiveness.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reports on company performance and financial health.
- Lead the formulation and execution of growth strategies, ensuring operational scalability.
- Collaborate closely with business unit leaders to implement systems and processes for rapid expansion.
- Ensure robust financial reporting, treasury management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support capital-raising activities to fund expansion and strategic initiatives.
- Foster a success-driven, accountable, and high-performing culture.
- Act as a key external representative for the company with clients, investors, and strategic partners.
- Maintain open, proactive communication with the MD regarding critical operational and financial matters.
- Direct corporate planning, budgeting, and forecasting aligned with strategic objectives.
- Safeguard the organisation’s legal and regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); additional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CIA are advantageous.
- Minimum 15+ years of leadership experience managing diversified, growth-oriented businesses.
- Proven ability to drive operational excellence, strategic growth, and financial sustainability.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen across multiple sectors.
- Ability to build detailed business plans and deliver operational execution.
